The following year, Jay referred to the scandal himself saying in a candid interview with the New York Times. He said, he went “into survival mode” and had to “shut down emotionally,” which led to his infidelity.

Social media users flocked to Twitter to speak on Beyonce seemingly referring to Jay Z’s cheating scandal. “No way, #Beyonce singing “Might I suggest you don’t f**k with my sis” in Cozy is her recalling what happened with Solange and Jay-Z in 2014”, said one user as another posted, “I really hope Beyonce gives us a song with Solange in ACT 2.” One user added, “lmfao beyonce getting real ratchet on church girl. ikdr. beyonce ghetto fr but downplay it cause yall do too much. solange dont care if yall kno.” Another said, “I could care less. This is the second time she addressed this in a song. If she is not going to speak on a platform about it I could care less. If she’s doing this do songs to debunk D Child rumors.” And, a user concluded, “When Beyonce says “might I suggest you don’t f**k with my sis” she means like bc Solange will f**k you up on an elevator right?
