Russell Wilson had been struggling to sell his mansion in his former home city of Seattle for two years after he was traded to the Denver Broncos.
Even after the Broncos cut him, a buyer for the Seattle house had not yet come about.
But now that’s seemingly taken care of as the house that was listed for $24.9million seems to have a buyer, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
The 11,000sq ft property located in the Seattle suburb of Bellevue had been on the market for a while before the prospective buyer came forth.
An exact bid and the identity of the person set to purchase the house have not been revealed.
Russell Wilson and Ciara have finally sold their home after it was on the market for two years
The Bellevue, Washington mansion that they owned was listed for around $25million
The listing agents in charge of selling the property say there was plenty of interest, but offers were below market value.
‘This was Russ’ home in Seattle,’ one of the agents said. ‘This is where he started his family. They have a recording studio in the house for Ciara. There is a very strong emotional attachment to the house.
‘They waited for someone who saw the value in it and they were willing to go along for the ride. We are really excited to have an incredible buyer who can now make their own memories here.’
The Wilsons initially listed the property and an adjacent piece of land for $36million back in April of 2022.
That adjoining 0.8 acre piece of land was on 110 feet of waterfront and was sold in June of 2022 for $9.75m.
This sale comes about a month after Wilson took a $3.5m loss on the sale of his Denver-area home following his move to Pittsburgh.
