F1 fans outraged as ‘ridiculous’ food and drink prices at the Miami Grand Prix with nachos costing $180 and the cheapest bottle of wine at $190

F1 fans are fully aware of the cost when it comes to watching the sport in person but even they have been left flabbergasted by the prices of food and drink at the Miami Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen claimed pole position on Saturday for the Miami Grand Prix, to start from the front of the grid for the sixth straight race this season.

Verstappen then converted pole position into victory during Saturday’s Sprint race at the Miami Grand Prix, leading home Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc and Red Bull team mate Sergio Perez at the end of an action-packed encounter.

The Miami Grand Prix is a star-studded event with the race seen as one of the most glamorous in the calendar.

However, those in attendance have been taken aback by the cost of food and drink.

Fans took to social media to share the price listings with nachos costing $180 (£140) and steamed buns setting them back $120 (£96).

It was a similar story when it came to beverages with the cheapest bottle of wine at $190 (£150) and bottles of spirits starting at over $500 (£400).

One posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: ‘great food prices at the Miami Grand Prix’ with a picture of the menu.

Another wrote: ‘in case you were upset about Derby drink prices. This is the F1 Miami Grand Prix’.
