Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Adding New Goku Black and Vegeta Transformations

Bandai Namco highlighted two unique transformations for Goku Black and Vegeta that will be added in the next big content update for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Eight years after its initial release, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still going strong to this day. Dimps and Bandai Namco have continued to support the game with free updates and paid DLC, adding new playable characters and character transformations. The next content update will be part of a new Saga exclusive to Xenoverse 2.

This new expanded storyline is focused on the Dragon Ball Xenoverse original villain, Fu. Throughout Xenoverse 2‘s post-launch DLC, Fu has been causing a number of time distortions in Dragon Ball‘s history. His interference has caused a number of different What If scenarios to occur, such as the Dragon Ball movie exclusive character, Tapion, coming to the aid of Future Trunks during the Goku Black Saga. Fu is once again up to another plot involving time distortions, with the first chapter of this new Saga involving Goku Black and Vegeta.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Getting Big Upgrade Later This Year

Nearly eight years after its original release, Bandai Namco reveals when Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be getting its next big upgrade.

In the first teaser trailer for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2‘s Future Saga, Fu has granted Goku Black and Vegeta a new transformation known as Ultra Supervillain, an upgraded form of the Supervillain form created by his mother, Towa. Using a pink crystal, both Goku Black and Vegeta are put under mind control, which greatly enhances their abilities and evil nature in exchange for their life force.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s Ultra Supervillain Form, Explained:

In the trailer, Goku Black is already in his Super Saiyan Rose form when he takes on this new transformation, which gives him a pinkish aura and his irises turn the same color. The trailer presents this What If scenario as Zamasu having just swapped bodies with Goku to become Goku Black, with Hit, Cabba, Kale, and Caulifla of Universe 6 being present to stop Zamasu before his plans take place.

In the other experiment by Fu, the battle between Goku and Beerus is interrupted by Vegeta becoming a Super Saiyan God, enhanced by Fu’s Ultra Supervillain powers. With Fu’s interference, instead of Goku fighting the God of Destruction, Super Saiyan God Goku and Super Saiyan God Ultra Supervillain Vegeta duke it out in space. This What If scenario is reminiscent of Goku and Majin Vegeta’s fight in the Buu Saga, where Vegeta is enhanced by a dark power and fights his rival all-out, one-on-one.

Fans have noted how the Super Saiyan God form combined with the Ultra Supervillain power makes it visually similar to Vegeta’s Ultra Ego state from the Dragon Ball Super manga. Some fans expressed how they would have preferred that Vegeta got his Ultra Ego transformation in Xenoverse 2 rather than a suspiciously similar substitute. Other fans were curious at how the new Future Saga would shake things up, along with any other characters that would achieve this new villainous state.
