McGregor reposted the clip onto his Instagram and revealed: “Still haven’t gone back out on my bike after this.”
The Irishman relied heavily on cycling training after picking it up following his 2016 defeat to Nate Diaz.
With the help of coach and doctor Julian Dalby, McGregor won the thrilling rematch on points.
And at the time, the former UFC champion explained why favoured cycling over running.
McGregor said in a UFC embedded episode: “We do a specific heart rate at a specific wattage. For endurance it’s good because you’re not pounding the roads
“If I was to run; you’re pounding the roads and it’s not good for the body.
“So I do the sprints on the treadmill and on the rowing machine. And then I do my endurance on the bike.”
McGregor captured the moments just after his frightening fall off his bike last year.
And he could be heard telling the driver: “That’s nasty. I could have been dead there.”
Detailing the collision, he posted: “Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight through me.
“Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life.”
McGregor, 35, was then given a lift by the driver – named Nick – and the two chatted on the way home.
His road scare looks to effect preparations for his UFC return against Michael Chandler, 37, on June 29 in Las Vegas.
It will be the Dubliner’s first fight since 2021, when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier, 35, after just one round.
