Anthony Joshua nicknames himself ‘Quadzilla’ in workout pictures that show bulging muscle

Anthony Joshua is clearly staying in shape during his time in Saudi Arabia.

‘AJ’ recently arrived in Riyadh ahead of Tyson Fury’s undisputed heavyweight title fight with Oleksandr Usyk at the Kingdom Arena on Saturday night, but is also using the opportunity to stay in excellent shape.

Fury vs Usyk is the biggest fight of the years

The former two-time heavyweight champion will be sitting in the front row when two of his major rivals battle it out for the WBO, WBA, WBC, and IBF belts.

Joshua could potentially face the winner later this year or find himself competing for the IBF title if the pair choose to exercise the rematch clause in the contracts.

So, he’s been ticking over at the Mike Tyson Boxing Club in Riyadh.

On Tuesday, Joshua shared two pictures of him running on a treadmill to his social media channels.

The 34-year-old used the caption to give himself a new nickname.

“Quadzilla,” he wrote referencing the bulging muscles in his upper legs.

Joshua’s comment section was full of fans praising his impressive physique and relentless work ethic.

One person said: “Looking incredible go for it AJ.”

Another wrote: “Damn! I thought [Cristiano] Ronaldo’s was wild but these…”

Someone else added. “Massive quads.”

Joshua shared another picture from his gym trip on his Instagram.

It was a re-post from Seunzy Wahab – real name Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab – who was delighted to have bumped into the British superstar ahead of his fight on the Fury vs Usyk undercard.

The 20-1 Nigerian is set to face undefeated 15-0 lightweight contender Mark Chamberlain and used his time with Joshua to get some tips.

Wahad captioned multiple pictures of him and AJ: “After our first media day, we headed straight to the Mike Tyson Boxing Club guess who we came across?

“Our champ, the Nigerian pride, Africa pride and two times heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua and his team.

“It was a pleasure meeting him, he’s a gentleman in and out of the ring. Myself and my team had a wonderful conversation with him concerning my upcoming fight.

“I took the opportunity to take some boxing lessons from him as well to guide me into the future.”

Wahad is a massive underdog against Chamberlain and will need all the help he can get if he’s going to pull off an upset this weekend.

Only time will tell if Joshua’s words of wisdom help him on fight night.
