The 15-year-old is her mother’s biggest fan.
It’s quite rare for Angelina Jolie’s children to make a public appearance, but exceptions are sometimes made when it means supporting their famous mom and her work pursuits.
Jolie’s daughter, Vivienne, appeared in the outdoor crowd during her mother’s May 13 visit to TODAY to talk about producing Broadway’s The Outsiders musical. Jolie noted that she felt inspired to join the production after Vivienne started as a volunteer assistant.
“You mentioned your daughter Vivienne. She’s here today, too. She’s working along with the cast, but she turned you onto this. Tell us how this came to be,” host Hoda Kotb asked Jolie. The camera then panned to Vivienne in the crowd amongst other attendees.
“She did. But I think that’s to say for anybody watching and anybody who is going to see this and what they brought forward…this is about family,” Jolie explained. “And the same reason it responded to her and the same reason she wanted me next to her watching it and the same reason we all hugged when I came out here is because this is about family.”

This isn’t the first time Vivienne has publicly supported her mom—for the premiere of The Outsiders in April, she walked the red carpet and posed for photos with Jolie and the production’s score and book co-creator Justin Levine, as well as with members of the cast.
Before supporting The Outsiders, Vivienne’s last carpet appearance was in support of her mother’s 2021 Disney movie, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil—for that occasion, she was joined by siblings Shihloh, Knox, and Sahara.
