This year, Rubin’s invitations were illustrations created by well-known visual artist George Condo.
To his guests, Michael Rubin extended an extremely special invitation for his forthcoming Fourth of July white party in the Hamptons.
Drake received one of such invitations, which was made by well-known artist George Condo. Drake shared the exclusive invitation on his Instagram Story.Rapper For All the Dogs stated, “Went from 1 bedroom condo to 1 of 1 condo @michaelrubin.”
Page Six claims that Rubin loves Condo and that the two are close friends. For the invitations, which were also addressed to Kim Kardashian, Tom Brady, Emily Ratajkowski, Joan Smalls, Justine Skye, Druski, La La Anthony, and Alix Earle, Rubin commissioned the 66-year-old visual artist to produce framed 24 Γ 24-inch images. It also looked like the pieces were delivered by hand by messengers wearing white tuxedos.
It is also said that 300 black-and-white invites, numbered and autographed by Condo, were distributed by Rubin to attendees in New York City and Los Angeles. His pieces, which may fetch up to $7 million, have been exhibited at the Whitney, the Met, and MoMa. But Condo refused to accept Rubin’s payment for the illustrations, with a specialist informing the publication that every invitation is worth at least $35,000.
Rubin’s white party has previously been attended by Jay-Z, BeyoncΓ©, Drake, Travis Scott, Kevin Hart, Kendall Jenner, Kevin Durant, Odell Beckham Jr., Jack Harlow, and Usher.
