1-year-old exceptional boy breaks world record as the youngest male artist in the world

An exceptional 1-year-old boy named Ace Liam has broken an outstanding Guinness World record,becoming the youngest male artist in the world.

Liam, from Ghana, attempted the Guinness World Records in Accra between January 18 and January 20, 2024. His achievement was announced at a press conference on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

The confirmation letter received by Liam’s family stated that his application was successful and he was confirmed an the new record title holder.  “We are thrilled to inform you that your application for Youngest artist (male) has been successful and you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder,” it said.

Liam’s mother, Chantelle Eghan, expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their support during her son’s record attempt adding that her son began painting at the tender age of six months.

Chantelle revealed that Liam commenced his quest for the World Record on Friday, December 18, at the Museum of Science and Technology, where he exhibited his paintings. She added that his latest creation marks his 13th piece.

“This remarkable achievable solidifies Ace Liam’s place in history and underscores his talent at a tender age. Born with an innate passion for creativity, Ace Liam has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique artistic impression,” Chantelle said.

”His talent knows no bounds, the confirmation of Ace Liam’s Guinness World Record attempt serves as a testament to his exceptional abilities and serves as an inspiration to all aspiring ages,” she added.

Along with announcing his new title, the email mentioned that Liam is now entitled to one complimentary certificate from Guinness World Records, with the option to purchase additional certificates from the GWR store.

Chantelle further explained that in order for Liam to meet the requirements, he had to participate in an exhibition, make sales, and provide evidence of the event, including media coverage and social media handles.

“For his category, they provide specific criteria. He needs to participate in an exhibition, make sales, and provide evidence of the event, including media coverage and social media handles. If he doesn’t sell the artwork, he won’t qualify,” she said.

Chantelle also stated at first she was confused about whether to pay for an expedited review of her son’s record attempt or wait patiently for the results being a single mother. Despite her confusion, she expressed optimism that her son’s record will inspire others to take on similar challenges.

“As Ace Liam’s mother, permit me to extend my heartfelt congratulations to my amazing champ and heroic feat. Nana, we made it,” she said.
