Does Ava Really Stand A Chance At Icing Everyone Out Of Sonny’s Life?

General Hospital spoilers spill Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have already experienced a few ups and downs since becoming housemates — but is that all that they are?

GH fans are continuing to wonder what Ava is up to and why she’s keeping the truth about Sonny’s prescription under wraps. Rumor has it more details answering that question are soon to come to light.

In the meantime, the people who care about Sonny are slowly backpedaling out of his life, and Ava couldn’t be happier about it as she feigns concern for him. But will she really be successful in this endeavor, or someone else bound to get in her way?

General Hospital Spoilers — One Child Left

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has drawn a boundary line in the sand that his father doesn’t like, leaving Sonny feeling like his son has turned his back on him much the way he believes his other son — Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) — did.

Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) can’t stomach the sight of her old man right now. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has already told Sonny she’s not bringing Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) to his place anymore while he’s behaving so erratically.

Alas, Sonny is left with only one of his children in his corner, and she’s young. Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) still believes her father roped the moon.

His image has never been tarnished in her young eyes, and he’s not about to let that happen now. Of course, she’s tethered to her mother, Ava.

GH Spoilers – Gush It’s Ava Jerome And Sonny Corinthos Against The World?

Ava is loving the idea of being Sonny’s #1, but we’re still not quite sure why. Some fans think Ava is just gunning for single custody and having Sonny out of the way by letting him spiral out of control. Others think she’s romantically interested in him.

That theory does have some merit, and it would make it easier for her to entertain and maintain a relationship with him if her enemies — aka, his family — were out of the way.

Furthermore, Ava was none too happy to see Sonny cozying up to Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) and taking her to Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) wedding. Is that because she wants him all to herself?

General Hospital Spoilers — Not So Fast

Ava might desire to be the only person in Sonny’s corner, but it may not be because she has any desire to end up in his bed.

Rather, being the only person in his ear could be all the agenda she has. Manipulating him into breaking ties with his family might suit whatever purpose Ava has in mind for Sonny.

However, if she does fancy herself as his next wifey, she’s got some stiff competition with Natalia.

Not only is Sonny apparently attracted to Natalia, but he always enjoys the company of a woman who has no history with him.

He has a blank slate with her and no one would balk at him dating her — which is the polar opposite experience from what he’d have with Ava.

Will the gallerista be able to compete with the new gal in town? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson was last night accused of taking a ‘simplistic’ approach after she said that top exam results alone will not make children ‘happy’. Laying out her vision for schooling in her first address to academy trust leaders since Labour came to power, Mrs Phillipson said that while a string of A* grades may ‘open important doors’, pupils need a ‘wider’ set of goals for a ‘healthy and happy life’. In a clear swipe at the Tories’ former regime, she accused them of having ‘tunnel vision’ when it comes to exam results – and said she wanted to promote ‘collaboration’ rather than ‘competition’.

Sir Mark Rowley suggested ‘people with huge influence’ had damaged trust in police after several Labour politicians, including Jeremy Corbyn, Diane Abbott and Bell Ribeiro-Addy called for ‘justice’ when the gangster was shot dead on September 5, 2022. Police marksman Sergeant Martyn Blake was later acquitted of murder in just three hours by jurors who decided it was lawful to shoot the 24-year-old through the windscreen after Kaba tried to use an Audi Q8 as a ‘battering ram’, almost running over officers in his bid to escape police.

Prince William has opened up about having the ‘hardest year in my life’ following his wife and father’s cancer diagnoses. In a remarkably candid – and at times emotional – interview at the end of his official visit to South Africa he admitted the past few months had been ‘brutal’. But the prince also said how hugely ‘proud’ he was of Catherine and the King for handling their health battles with such dignity and bravery.
