Charlie Woods, the son of golf legend Tiger Woods, is finally proving that his father’s genes are indeed a blessing! How so? Well, after a few not-so-great performances, fans wondered if he could match his dad’s success. It’s pretty natural to think so, right? But now, it’s not Charlie’s golfing skills that are garnering attention, but rather his physique.
Recently, a video of Charlie Woods went viral on YouTube. The video featured the golfer showcasing his amazing swing skills at the U.S. Junior Amateur at Oakland Hills. It was visible that Woods Jr. had gained quite some muscle and genetic height. But this is not the first time Charlie’s physique has been the talk of the town.
In 2023, 14-year-old Charlie Woods was doing great in golf, but one big difference between the father-son duo was their physiques, as to how different they were when both were young. Charlie was taller and stronger than his dad was at 14. People noticed how big and strong Charlie’s arms and hands were. Even Min Woo Lee commented on this and talked about how Charlie’s “arms and hands are massive.”
Woods Jr. advanced to the U.S. Junior Amateur after clearing the qualifying round. Charlie Woods was weaving the ultimate dream of winning the tournament and eventually becoming a pro. “The USGA means a lot to me. I want to win USGA championships and hopefully one day the U.S. Open,” said the junior golfer. He did try to make his way to the PGA Tour and US Open but failed to do so, as he did not make the cut in the qualifiers.
He was keen on making his USGA debut a memorable one, and we are assuming it was, but it could have been better. Charlie failed badly as he shot 12 over par and a 10-over 80 in the first and second rounds of the US Junior Amateur respectively missing the cut with a total score of 22 over. However, the fans now cannot stop talking about his physical growth. Fans comment on Charlie Woods’s growth spurt
“Charlie is getting big. Looks like size 12 shoes. No kid anymore,” said one fan. Charlie Woods is, indeed, not a kid anymore. And while there is no accurate information as to what shoe size he wears, it is obvious from his bulky physique that it would be that like of an adult. Another fan pointed out the obvious and said, “He went from 12 to 17 in 3 months.” And well, it is true. Charlie’s body has shown some amazing growth in recent years and helped him gain that athletic figure that he will need to conquer his dream of winning the U.S. Open one day.
“Kid’s getting stronger and bigger by the minute,” said one fan. Can’t argue with that. Woods has shown visible growth in recent months, both physically and mentally. And that development was seen in his gameplay at the 2024 South Florida Junior PGA Cup. Woods scored an impressive 68 in the second round, which helped him make it to the last round. And that’s when he proved he was his father’s son by making two important birdies to take the lead and eventually win the tournament.
The buffed-up, 15-year-old Charlie is surely going to do amazing things. “Young Charlie is all grown up!” another fan said lovingly. This fan was so stuck on Woods’s sudden growth that he took it to the comment section and asked, “How tall is Charlie?? He seems much taller than last year?? ”And well, it is true. Charlie’s height in 2023 was believed to be 5 feet and 5 inches, whereas this year his height is 5 feet and 11 inches. Incredible right? It is because this leaves Woods Jr. only inches shy of his dad’s height, which is recorded to be 6 feet, 1 inch.
So, will this growth help him perform better on the greens? Let us know in the comment section below!
