It seems that the DCU is suffering after removing Henry Cavill as Superman. Gal Gadot, known for portraying the role of Wonder Woman in the DCEU, was recently instated in James Gunn’s DCU. Although the actress remarked that a Wonder Woman 3 is in development, the DCU isn’t so sure. As per the sources, James Gunn and Peter Safran have allegedly no plans for a Wonder Woman 3 as their primary focus continues to be Superman: Legacy.

Gal Gadot Is Hopeful For A Wonder Woman 3
At least in Zack Snyder’s DCEU, there were no fake promises. It was last year when notable director Patty Jenkins, who directed the first two Wonder Woman movies, walked off the set while shooting the third part of the franchise.

Soon after, Gal Gadot’s future in the DCU was kept uncertain as fans had hoped that Gadot would support her director and also walk off the sets if Patty Jenkins were to not return. Well, that didn’t happen and Gadot recently announced that Wonder Woman 3 is indeed in development. Talking about it in an interview, the actress stated that James Gunn and Peter Safran are working on Wonder Woman 3.
“I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together. I was invited to a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran, and what they told me, and I’m quoting: ‘You’re in the best hands. We’re going to develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. [We] love you as Wonder Woman— you’ve got nothing to worry about.’ So time will tell.”
After sharing such sweet words with the actress, there are rumors and speculations that James Gunn and Peter Safran have no idea what they are doing.

The sources further stated that James Gunn and Peter Safran have currently no story in mind and no plan for a third Wonder Woman other than the previously announced Max prequel series Paradise Lost. The report further continued that nothing was ever promised to Gal Gadot and that Gunn and Safran are busy creating Chapter 1 of the DCU, titled Gods and Monsters. The sources went as far as to state that the DCU’s primary focus was James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy which could prove to be disappointing for Gal Gadot.
