Progressive billionaire Mark Cuban deletes his tweets supporting Kamala Harris

Billionaire Kamala Harris supporter Mark Cuban has quietly wiped some of his social media comments endorsing the Vice President.

The Shark Tank entrepreneur was one of the first from Camp Kamala to publicly concede defeat on election night, sending a message of congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump by about 1.30am.

In the message, he also congratulated X owner Elon Musk, who emerged as one of Trump’s most outspoken – and generous – supporters during his campaign.

Now, Cuban has started deleting his pro-Harris commentary from X.

‘I’ve always gone back and deleted tweets,’ he said in response to criticism for his actions.

‘For years. Same with 2020 election. 2016 election. Same with other stuff.’

Cuban noted that there are websites available to view his old, deleted content if people were truly interested.

On election night, Cuban wrote: ‘Congrats @realDonald Trump. You won fair and square. Congrats to @ElonMusk as well.’

At the time, the election was yet to be formally called, but any path to victory for Harris was rapidly deteriorating as swing states kept turning red.

Many Democrats appeared to still be holding out hope, despite North Carolina and Georgia both being called for Trump.

At the time, Trump was also ahead in critical battleground states Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona. They would all subsequently be called for him.

Cuban sparked fury earlier this month when he appeared on The View and criticized Trump’s inner circle.

He told the panel: ‘Donald Trump – you never see him around strong, intelligent women, ever. It’s just that simple.’

‘It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them,’ Cuban added.

Trump’s campaign immediately seized on the remarks as evidence to back its claim that Democrats, including Harris, despise voters who support the former president.

Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said the comments were ‘extremely insulting to the thousands of women who work for President Trump, and the tens of millions of women who are proudly voting for him.’

Cuban later apologized, saying he ‘didn’t get it out exactly the way I thought I did.’

The 66-year-old Dallas-based investor, who made his wealth in computer software, supported Trump during his successful 2016 bid for the White House, but ‘grew out of it.’

Cuban said that ‘whenever you try to get into a conversation about details’ with Trump ‘it never worked.’

But Trump and Musk supporters both appreciated his ‘gracious’ – and early – concession in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

‘Mature response,’ Trump fan Isabella DeLuca said.

‘Said like a true gentleman, Mark. We have to hope they’ll make good decisions for America,’ another added.
