The official trailer for Best. Christmas. Ever! was released by Netflix on Tuesday.
In the upcoming comedy film, Heather Graham, 53, and Brandy Norwood, 44, play old college pals who have an unexpected reunion over the holidays.
The story follows ‘a twist of fate’, which brings Charlotte Sanders, played by the Drugstore Cowboy star, and her family to the home of her college friend, Jackie Jennings, just a few days before Christmas.
The film also stars American Pie’s Jason Biggs playing Charlotte’s husband and Matt Cedeño (Tyler Perry‘s Ruthless) playing Jackie’s other half.
As shown in the beginning of the trailer, Jackie — played by Norwood, who is bouncing back after being sued by her housekeeper as well as a fashion designer in separate cases last year — is writing an annual newsletter around the holidays every year to update her loved ones about all the positive happenings in her life.

Old college friends: The story follows ‘a twist of fate’, which brings Charlotte Sanders, played by the Drugstore Cowboy star, and her family to the home of her college friend, Jackie Jennings, just a few days before Christmas
Charlotte is skeptical about her friend’s seemingly picture-perfect life and decides to spontaneously show up at Jackie’s house with her family in tow.
‘It’s the most absurd thing ever,’ she said when her husband is reading Jackie’s newsletter. ‘I would love to show up at her house uninvited and see the actual truth.’
When Jackie warmly greets her unexpected visitors and invites them to stay at their inn, Charlotte quickly accepts.
Determined to prove if her friend is putting on a facade, Charlotte starts investigating her old friend’s life and insists ‘something is off here’.
The morning of their first day together, Jackie makes elaborate pancake breakfast for the children, and her daughter beats Charlotte in a game of chess.
Charlotte is also in disbelief that Jackie’s husband is in incredible shape and even makes freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning.
‘Nobody’s life is that wonderful,’ Charlotte is heard later venting to her husband, who believes she is merely envious.
He responds to her: ‘By nobody’s life, you mean ours?’

During her mission to prove Jackie’s life isn’t all that it seems, the two families go shopping for Christmas trees together.
It’s there that Charlotte witnesses Jackie and her husband putting on a loving display, which further drives her desire to find a flaw in Jackie’s perfect marriage and life.
‘I’ve been taking a look around,’ Charlotte told her husband later, revealing she has been snooping and looking for proof that Jackie’s life is not as incredible as she makes it seem.
Her husband tells her: ‘You actually think that proving Jackie’s life isn’t perfect is gonna make you feel better about yours?’
By seeing Jackie live such an amazing life, Charlotte later confesses the reason why she is so intent on finding a flaw: ‘Being here reminds me of everything I wanted to do with my life and didn’t.’
At one point, Charlotte is snooping around and knocks down a trophy on a massive display, full to the brim with awards.
She is nearly caught by Jackie and her husband but hides on the patio.
For sneaking around, however, Charlotte gets stuck in the blizzard and must jump down into the snow to get back inside.
