Carrie Underwood Led A Worship Service At Her Church With A Powerful Performance

Carrie Underwood has always been open about her faith as a Christian. She even credits her childhood church in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma, as the place where she first sang in public.

And as her career took off, Carrie has stayed true to her beliefs by never shying away from bringing her faith into the entertainment world.

In 2021, the American Idol judge released her first gospel album, My Savior. The record features 13 classic hymns that she grew up singing.

Over time, she has returned to perform where her love for music began.

For example, back in August 2024, Carrie took the stage at her church in Franklin, Tennessee, surprising everyone with a rendition of “Goodness of God” alongside the church band.

Later that year, she returned to sing again for the church’s annual Christmas show.

Carrie Underwood Surprised Church Goers With A Rendition Of “Pour Your Spirit Out”

Most recently, Carrie Underwood led a service at Rolling Hills Community Church with a performance of “Pour Your Spirit Out.”

A clip of the performance was shared on Instagram by Thrive Worship, who originally sang the Christian song.

In the video, Carrie is backed by the church’s choir. She belts out the lyrics, moving in place and lifting her hand in praise.

“Is this real life?? We are so thankful to see how God is using this song in His church. What an honor,” the band captioned the video.

Many people left comments applauding Carrie’s performance, including some lucky people who were able to be in attendance for it.

“It was absolutely insane – the spirit in the room was palpable – what a powerful song!” one person wrote.

“It was incredible to be there and experience this – a bit of what Heaven’s choir will sound like here on earth,” another said.

“This is awesome!!” added someone else.
