Buckle up, friends!  The General Hospital spoilers promo video for the week of September 22 promises that it’s going to be a huge week in Port Charles! In fact, the announcer goes so far to say, “This week isn’t just big. It’s game changing.” And we’d have to agree!

Dead Man Walking?

The promo opens on a shot of a devastated Lucy (Lynn Herring), who presumably just learned that Monica (Leslie Charleson) has passed away. Next, the video flashes to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), Lucas (Van Hansis), and Anna (Finola Hughes), who seemed to be flummoxed by a patient at G.H. — because he looks suspiciously like Dante’s late partner, Det. Nathan West (Ryan Paevey)!

In the next clip, it’s the day of Monica’s memorial service, and Jason (Steve Burton) takes a moment at the front of All Saints Chapel to remember his mother. Then, the preview goes back to the hospital, where patient advocate Felicia (Kristina Wagner) enters a patient’s room — and is so shocked to see her son-in-law, Nathan, that she drops the file of papers in her hand! Is Nathan, like Britt, back from the dead? Or is this man a doppelganger for Maxie’s deceased husband?

The video also teases that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) gets a delivery: vials of the experimental drug she was taking in Croatia. A handwritten note accompanying the package reminds Britt to take her medication and is signed by “C.” How did Britt’s mysterious boss track her down in Port Charles? And might that “C” stand for Cesar Faison, her father?

Tales From The Crypt

Next, the screen flashes to a crying Nina (Cynthia Watros). Are they tears of joy that, like her cousin Britt, her brother James (aka Nathan) is alive? Back at All Saints during Monica’s memorial service, Laura (Genie Francis) and Jason are seated together in a pew when they turn around to look at something at the back of the church. Has someone crashed the beloved Quartermaine matriarch’s funeral?

The promo shows a quick glimpse of Portia (Brook Kerr), who has a rather determined look on her face, before changing to a flashback of Monica, who is raising a glass of champagne.

In the final seconds of the teaser video, Tracy (Jane Elliot) enters the Quartermaine crypt to find a stranger standing in front of Lila’s plaque! “Who are you?” she asks the interloper, played by daytime legend Erika Slezak.
