Vice President JD Vance Remembers His Dear Friend Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk JD Vance

Following the horrific death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, Vice President JD Vance took to social media to remember his dear friend.

Vance praised Kirk’s character, tenacity, friendship, loyalty, and ultimately his role in helping the Vice President get to where he is today.

“Charlie was one of the first people I called when I thought about running for senate in early 2021. I was interested but skeptical there was a pathway. We talked through everything, from the strategy to the fundraising to the grassroots of the movement he knew so well. He introduced me to some of the people who would run my campaign and also to Donald Trump Jr. “Like his dad, he’s misunderstood. He’s extremely smart, and very much on our wavelength.” Don took a call from me because Charlie asked him too,” Vance wrote.

The Vice President praised Kirk’s unqiue ability to bring people together, and the deep trust he instilled in everyone around him.

“Charlie Kirk was a true friend. The kind of guy you could say something to and know it would always stay with him,” Vance recalled. “And because he was a true friend ,you could instinctively trust the people Charlie introduced you to. So much of the success we’ve had in this administration traces directly to Charlie’s ability to organize and convene. He didn’t just help us win in 2024, he helped us staff the entire government.”

Vance closed out the post by reminding Kirk of the well fought race he ran here on this earth.

“You ran a good race, my friend. We’ve got it from here.”

Vance To Bring Kirk Back To Arizona On Air Force Two

Vance is expected to transport the casket of Kirk, along with his family, to Phoenix aboard Air Force Two, according to a source familiar with the plans.

Vance and his wife, Usha, will meet with Kirk’s family and close friends in Salt Lake City before accompanying them on the flight to Arizona. Kirk lived in Phoenix with his wife, Erika, and their two children.

Moments after the shooting, the Vice President posted a photo with Charlie to his social media, asking God to protect him in his “darkest hour.”
