Could Daniel and Tessa be Genoa City’s next supercouple?

Daniel and Tessa’s romance is a hot topic in The Young and the Restless community. The couple is receiving mixed reactions with most fans against the pairing. However, Michael Graziadei thinks fans will change their minds.

From the moment Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) started giving Daniel (Graziadei) guitar lessons, fans sensed a romance was coming. Add in Tessa and Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) marital problems, and the path was clear for a Dessa pairing.

Daniel has started to develop feelings for Tessa, but hasn’t acted on them. Now that Mariah’s left town and he’s looking after Tessa and Aria (Millie and Maddie Ingles), things might change. Spending more time with Tessa will increase Daniel’s feelings, and it won’t be long until he makes his move.

Although a Dessa romance has been brewing for a while, fans aren’t ready for the new couple. However, Graziadei believes there will be some Daniel and Tessa supporters. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, the actor discussed the pair’s connection. Not only did they bond over music, but they became each other’s confidants. Daniel comforted Tessa over her marital problems, and she helped him overcome his grief of losing Heather (Vail Bloom).

“With the connection that these two people are having, the audience is going to be rooting for them to get together,” Graziadei declared. While Dessa may gain a few fans, long-time Teriah fans aren’t ready to see their favorite couple split. Graziadei is prepared for the backlash and jokingly reminds fans, “I’m not writing it.”

With Mariah away, there’s nothing stopping Daniel and Tessa from moving forward. Tessa will be conflicted between Mariah and Daniel. While she still loves Mariah, she can’t forget the pain her wife has put her through. Daniel is someone who understands her and that she can trust. Since Mariah chose to abandon her, Tessa will decide to move on with Daniel. However, Dessa’s relationship will be tested when and if Mariah returns.
