‘General Hospital’s Gio and Emma Are Giving Fans ’90s Soap Couple Energy’

General Hospital has been slow burning the relationship of Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma (Braedyn Bruner). These two built a friendship before finally sharing their first kiss.

Watching the grandson of Sonny (Maurice Benard) and granddaughter of Anna (Finola Hughes) ooze supercouple energy has General Hospital fans invested in them. The last time a young couple got fans this hyped was Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina (Tabyana Ali).

General Hospital Fans Can’t Get Enough Of Gio and Emma

X has been on fire for weeks with opinions on the burgeoning romance of the young couple. Emma and Gio gave Geneal Hospital fans a couple of moments that tugged at the heartstrings as they searched for Outback.

One of them was Gio comforting Emma at The Brown Dog. A fan on X mentioned the moment writing, “It’s so nice to have something to root for 🥰. #GH.”

That same moment had a different fan declaring, “#GH The way Gio wiped Emma’s tears and held her knowing they wanted to kiss each other. 90s era young soap romance is back.”

The 90s era was brought up again as another fan commented on Gemma, saying, “They 90’s soap couple energy imo #gh just like sprina did imo.”

A different fan also compared Trina and Spencer to Gio and Emma, writing, “I completely agree I felt it with #Sprina and I fill it with #Gemma and it’s really the soft and Tinder moments that sell them and make them feel like a young couples used to back in the day It makes them very easy to root for.  #GH”

Emma and Gio’s First Kiss On General Hospital Is Just The Beginning

X also couldn’t stop talking about the young couple’s first kiss after Gio found Outback.

“Outback realizing she pulled off her Parent Trap with Gio and Emma #GH,” stated a fan. One fan screamed, “Emma and Gio kiss…FINALLY! ☺️ #GeneralHospital #GH.”

Another fan shared, “Oh, thank you. something to smile about. Gio and Emma kiss!  #GH.”

Fans are not the only ones happy with the new phase in Gemma’s relationship.

Bruner and Mazza are also excited about the new era of the relationship. Speaking with Soap Digest, Mazz teased “the next chapter” for the young couple, while Bruner hinted that “love is in the air.”

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
