On November 2, a post titled “Song Hye Kyo And BTS V’s Deepfakes Are Pretty Shocking” went viral.
In the post, a netizen uploaded several gifs of what seems like Song Hye Kyo and V. Shockingly, the netizen revealed that these gifs were generated by artificial intelligence and were deepfakes.
The netizens then stated their concern and publicly asked that laws be put in place to prevent the abuse of celebrities and their likeness.
You can tell it’s fake for now, but I think the situation will soon become serious. I think there needs to be laws put in place regarding this. I heard that there are clips of them going viral. Clips of the two are all fake.
