And on Wednesday the famed 48-year-old wrestler turned actor gave his 227M followers a glimpse into his preparation, flashing his insanely muscular legs in the process.
Drenched in sweat with a large chain in hand he flexed his ripped physique and absurdly toned thighs, adding that he was ‘grateful for the grind.’

Fresh from a workout at his expansive home gym — nicknamed ‘Iron Paradise — he showed off the fruits of his labor by hiking up his shorts.
‘Black Adam ready. It’s always the work we quietly put in when no one is watching that changes the game. Grateful for the grind (and the face of my Warrior Spirit always watching my back,’ he wrote – adding that production starts this week.
His post garnered comments from famous friends like Lindsey Vonn who wrote ‘Leg day,’ and rapper Busta Rhymes posted a bunch of strong arm emojis.
The WWE vet was tapped for the superhero film sometime back, and the movie is now slated for release in July 2022, a year after its intended premiere.

Though many details of the film are underwraps he is set to star as an anti-hero, the character Black Adam first appearing in comics in the 1940s as a nemesis of Captain Marvel.
‘The fun Black Adam literature/mythology study combined with the physicality the character commands makes for a one of kind prep I’ve never experienced before in my career,’ he shared in late February.
The Rock is notorious for his intensely regimented diet and fitness routine — both of which kick up a few notches when he is prepping for a movie – and he is currently working out twice a day.
He usually sticks to five protein rich meals a day with staples like oatmeal, steak, chicken, eggs, and lots of vegetables. However, it is said that in preparation for his Hercules role he upped the meal count to seven meals a day.

The Hobbs & Shaw star is known to enjoy one cheat meal a week of epic proportions, frequently taking to Instagram to show off his decadent spread.
Last week he kicked off his ‘cheat meal Sunday’ with coconut and banana pancakes smothered in peanut butter.
And the week before he bulked up with a large plate of vodka bolognese topped with mozzarella, and two bagels on the side. His Termana tequila is also frequently enjoyed at leisure.
‘Do your cheat meals up right, my friends – you earned em,’ he wrote.
