After marrying her husband Cooke Maroney in 2019, Jennifer Lawrence recently welcomed her first child earlier this year. Though the star has been photographed with and without Maroney for much of the summer, she has managed to shield their son, Cy, from paparazzi.

“Every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can,” Lawrence told Vanity Fair during her pregnancy. I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”

In a new Vogue cover story published in September, the Don’t Look Up star opened up about meeting her baby boy. “I was just so in love,” she recalled. “I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors. Now I love all babies. Now I hear a baby crying in a restaurant and I’m like, Awwww, preciousssss.”

Lawrence continued, “My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that. And then they’re both just, like, out there—walking around, crossing streets. He’s gonna drive one day. He’s gonna be a stupid teenager and be behind the wheel of a car. And I’m just gonna be like, ‘Good night!’ You know? Like, who sleeps?”
