The pair – who are currently gearing up to get married – first revealed that they were constructing a new abode together last January, when Simone shared a snap of the plot of land to her Instagram Stories.
Close to their roots: It’s unclear where their new home will be, but the couple has been based in Houston for a quite some time now. Simone is seen in 2021
‘I know this looks like nothing but I’m so proud,’ she wrote at the time. ‘Here’s my lot – my soon-to-be home.’

The city is a big part of both Simone and Jonathan’s lives. Not only did the gymnast grow up in Houston – she was born in Ohio but moved to Texas after she was adopted by her maternal grandparents at age three – but she also spent years training there.
She even went on to build her own gym in Spring, Texas – a suburb of Houston – in 2014, called World Champions Centre.
In addition, Jonathan was signed to the Houston Texans in 2019, and has played safety for the team ever since.
Simone – who has an estimated net worth of $16 million, thanks to her numerous lucrative sponsorship deals and successful gymnastics career – already owns an enormous mansion in Spring, which she purchased in 2019 and spent a year renovating.

The sports star has never given an official tour of her home, so it’s unclear how many bedrooms and bathrooms it has, but there seems to be plenty of room for her and Jonathan – who moved in last year, according to StyleCaster.

It’s unclear whether Simone plans on selling the home once the new one is built. But based on the latest Instagram pictures, construction has yet to even begin – so it’s likely that it won’t be finished for a while.
Simone and Jonathan got engaged in February 2022 after two years together. They haven’t shared a date for their wedding, but Simone recently had her bachelorette party in Belize.
‘Soon to be Mrs. Owens,’ she wrote on Instagram last week, while sharing some pictures from the trip.
