Odell Beckham Jr has been hit with a suspension by the NFL
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been suspended for one game for his conduct in Sunday’s loss to Carolina in which he drew three personal foul penalties.
Beckham Jr would miss Sunday night’s game at Minnesota but he does have the right to appeal the suspension.
The 23-year-old and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman had a running battle throughout the Panthers’ 38-35 victory; at one point, Beckham appeared to deliver a diving helmet-to-helmet hit on Norman while blocking.

If the suspension is upheld The Giants (6-8) would lose their top offensive weapon for a vital game in the NFC East race.
The Giants must beat the Vikings next week, and Philadelphia in their final regular season game, and have Washington lose to Philadelphia and Dallas to have any chance at their first trip to the play-offs for five years; Minnesota needs a victory to secure a play-off berth for themselves.
Beckham, the 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year, has 91 catches for 1,396 yards and 13 touchdowns this season and is tied for the league lead.
