Exceptional lady makes history, becomes LASU’s best graduating student with perfect 5.00 CGPA

An exceptional Nigerian student, Yusuf Aminat Imoitesemeh, has become Lagos State University (LASU)’s best-graduating student in history after bagging a perfect 5.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

This was disclosed in a statement by the university’s vice chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, at the university’s convocation ceremony on Wednesday.

The vice chancellor congratulated Yusuf Aminat, a faculty of law student, for her remarkable feat.

“I am glad to announce that YUSUF Aminat Imoitesemeh, with a CGPA of 5.00 [First Class Honours] is LASU’s Best Graduating student in history. I congratulate her, her family and the Faculty of Law on this laudable feat,” he said.

He added that honorary degrees and an appreciation award will be conferred on valuable Nigerians who have contributed to the development of the university.

“Apart from the 121 individuals who will be awarded doctorate degrees, we shall be conferring Honorary Doctorate Degrees and an Appreciation Award on eight eminent Nigerians who have made valuable contributions to the development of our University and the nation at large,” Ibiyemi said.
