Simone Biles took to Instagram to wish her boyfriend a happy one-year anniversary.
The four-time Olympic gold medalist, 24, wore ripped jeans and a yellow top in the photo while her beau Jonathan Owens, who plays in the NFL, wore similarly ripped jeans with an orange t-shirt.
In the second photo, the diminutive gymnast looks up into the eyes of her boyfriend, who stands nearly six feet tall.
The Ohio native captioned the photos, ‘oops I forgot to tell y’all that we’ve been dating for more than a year so happy past 1 year to the best thing that’s ever happened to you: ME.’

He responded to the post in the comments writing, ‘Time flies when your having fun, To many more with you baby,’ followed by an emoji of crossed fingers.
The pair met on the dating app Raya before the pandemic shut much of the country down. Despite her tremendous fame, her man didn’t know who the legendary athlete was when they first connected.

‘I didn’t know who she was,’ Owens told Texas Monthly in June. ‘I just hadn’t heard of her, and when I told her that, that’s one of the things she liked.’
The pair announced their relationship on Instagram in August of last year. The Olympian captioned the photo, ‘It’s just us.’
Her man has also been very supportive during her very public struggles with mental health at this year’s games in Japan.

She then withdrew from several other events but still managed to take home the bronze medal in the balance beam.
When he found out that his girlfriend was withdrawing from some events, Owens took to Instagram and wrote, ‘Imma ride with you through whatever baby. Your strength and courage is unmatched and you inspire me more and more everyday SB.
‘You always gone be my champ baby and don’t you ever forget that, i love you so much and i can’t wait till you come home and i get to see that beautiful smile again. You know I’m always here for you baby.’
Biles responded with a simple, ‘I love you so much’ in the comments.
Still a winner: Despite her struggles during the games, the 24-year-old still managed to take home a bronze medal in the balance beam event
