BTS Jin’s heartwarming act of sharing food with his unit during military service

It has been revealed that, during his military service, BTS member Jin is known for bringing back 15 servings of food and sharing them with his fellow soldiers in his unit when he returns.

On November 8, an online community post shared a story titled “Jin, the Charitable Food-Sharer.” The post writer shared an intriguing tale about Jin, who is currently engaged in his military service.

The poster said, “My nephew, who was discharged yesterday, said that when the food truck comes on the weekends, Sergeant Kim Seok Jin (Jin) buys 15 dishes.” The poster continued, “It seems like he shares the food with his fellow soldiers from the same unit, and that’s why they call him ‘Pretty Jin the Benevolent Food-Sharer.’

It’s explained that Jin uses his own money to buy food from the food truck every weekend to treat his fellow soldiers, who are much younger than him in the same unit.

A mentioned, “And he seems to have gained a bit more weight. It seems like he’s working out hard,” and even shared Jin’s recent progress in bulking up.

Adding to the story’s credibility was an attached photo of him participating in the training completion ceremony. This disclosure about Jin’s conduct comes within a month of another touching story where he saved up two months’ worth of corporal’s salary to gift it to Jimin on his birthday.

Internet users deeply appreciated Jin’s generosity and friendliness. Comments included, “As expected, Jin knows how to receive compliments,” “He’s handsome, and his personality is good too, that’s not fair,” “I want to see him soon,” “He’s a good sergeant,” “I’m relieved that he seems to be doing well in the military,” “Even though he’s a celebrity, it seems like he’s adapting well,” “He’s so caring, just as expected,” and “It seems like he’s getting along well with his much younger friends.”

Meanwhile, Jin enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the South Korean Army on December 13 last year and is currently serving as a sergeant in the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province. His expected discharge date is June 12, 2024.
