A 34-year-old Nigerian actress named Omowunmi Dada has assumed the role of a resident professor at the University of Michigan in the United States of America.
Omowunmi Dada is a Nigerian Actress, a voice-over artist, presenter, and model. She was named one of the 2023 Global Artists in Residence at the African Studies Center (ASC) at the University of Michigan, United States.
She shared her achievement on Instagram stating how honored she is to be a part of the program. The Global Artist in Residence program was established through a Title VI grant from the U.S. Department of Education and administered by ASC in collaboration with the Department of Afro-American and African Studies.
The program is run by the University’s African Studies Center (ASC) and the Department of Afro-American and African Studies (DAAS). Omowunmi said she will be working with DAAS language instructors in developing audio-visual materials for teaching African languages.
