After being rejected by 1500 employers, 28-years-old man sets record as the youngest professor in US universities

A remarkable 28-year-old man named Eli Joseph has made history as the youngest professor to teach at three prestigious universities in the United States of America despite facing rejections 1500 times.

Dr Eli Joseph is an American academic from Brooklyn, New York in the United States. He currently teaches at three prestigious universities simultaneously: Columbia University, New York University, and the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr Joseph’s success story was not an easy path, throughout his life, he faced rejection from over 1,500 employers, 30 colleges, and 75 scholarship foundations. He encountered denials from renowned institutions such as Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, Dartmouth University, and Brown University.

In 2012, he received a rejection letter from Columbia University but he persevered, with his strong will, and never gave up due to his fortitude, presently he serves as an associate faculty member in the Applied Analytics program at Columbia University School of Professional Studies.

Also in 2016, he was turned away by the New York University, Tandon School of Engineering, but he now instructs graduate students at NYU’s School of Professional Studies

Dr. Joseph has encountered numerous rejection notices from various firms in finance, technology, and managerial consulting, including JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Google, Amazon, Facebook, BCG, McKinsey, Deloitte, and Bain.

Despite facing countless rejections from both institutions and companies, he made sure to triumph over personal and professional challenges.

He delivered commencement speeches to the graduating class of 2023 at both Columbia and New York University’s School of Professional Studies where he used his story as a source of motivation to the graduands that despite his impressive achievements, Dr Joseph is no stranger to setbacks and disappointment.

He harnesses his failures as a source of motivation to succeed. In the past, he also delivered two TEDx talks titled “Time Is Your Biggest Competition” and “No Trace, No Case.”

Dr Joseph holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Felician University, becoming the first-ever graduate to complete the curriculum at the age of 24.

He is also the accomplished author of the best-selling book, “The Perfect Rejection Resume: A Reader’s Guide to Building a Career Through Failure.“
