A young lady named Aisha Suleiman has bagged a master’s degree in Hydrogen Technology, setting a record as the first Nigerian to achieve this certification.
Aisha bagged her master’s degree in Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Technology at the University of Rostock (Universität Rostock) in Rostock Germany. She also established a record as the first-ever Nigerian with a master’s in Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Technology.
She shared her outstanding achievement on Linkedin stating that she studied for the course for twenty-eight months which she described as an adventure filled with valuable experiences and opportunities.
Aisha said one of the opportunities she received was the mobility component of the program, which allowed her to study in three different countries. She studies in Germany, Niger Republic and Togo.
She mentioned that through the program, she was able to learn the French language during her four-month stay at a French institute in Togo. She stated that throughout the journey, she collaborated and studied alongside remarkable individuals from 15 West African countries and the European Union which enriched her personal and professional growth.
Aisha said the achievement is a significant milestone in her academic and professional journey being the first Nigerian to pursue the specialized course through this program. She said with her degree, she is a renewable energy and green hydrogen professional with a global perspective.
She expressed her gratitude to the West African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) and The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) who fully funded the program. she mentioned that their support has been instrumental in making the journey possible.
