Jason Momoa has opened up about ‘almost losing’ Emilia Clarke, after she suffered a brain aneurysm shortly after filming the first season of Game of Thrones.
The 32-year-old actress recently revealed her startling health issues in a personal essay for The New Yorker, to launch her new charity SameYou – which is dedicated to increasing access to rehabilitation after brain injury and stroke for young people.
Speaking at the season eight premiere last night, Jason told Entertainment Tonight: “I’ve kind of been a part of that whole situation for a very long time, so we’ve had so many scares and trying to find the right way to come out and help.”
“I just think it’s beautiful that… she’s so brave in helping the world and trying to raise awareness.”

“I’m very sad, because we almost lost her the first time. So, I love her to bits and she’s here and she’s going to do great things with it and teach the world,” he added.
Jason famously played Daenerys Targaryen’s husband Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, before he was sadly killed off the show.
The actor is now best known for his role as Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe.
Jason first appeared as Aquaman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and 2017’s Justice League – before landing his own solo film in 2018.
