Not only did Man City not get fined like Everton, they also earned more money

The biggest clubs in the Premier League like Man City or MU will likely receive a larger proportion of bonuses in the coming seasons.

After was fined a deduction of 10 points for violating financial fairness, Everton went crazy and wanted to sue the Premier League organizers if they Do not sanction big clubs like Man City or Chelsea.

But there could soon be further disagreements between groups of clubs in the Premier League, with the Telegraph reporting that the big teams will receive a larger share of the prize money.

According to the Premier League’s existing 1.6/1 ratio on prize money, champions Man City earned an estimated £161.3m last season. Meanwhile, Southampton received 100.3 million pounds after finishing bottom of the table.

But from the 2025/26 season onwards, the gap will become even larger between groups of clubs in the Premier League. Accordingly, the reward ratio will be 1.8/1. That means the top clubs will receive 180 million pounds while the bottom clubs will only get 100 million pounds.

This change was said to be “determined by international growth in tournament revenues” as well as the consumer price index. Accordingly, the group of big clubs including Man City, MU, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham increasingly brings in many times more revenue for the tournament than the group of small clubs. So they are asking for more rewards.

These changes can be discussed on Tuesday, November 21, when representatives of 20 clubs meet to vote on the so-called “New Agreement for Football” – major changes in bonus distribution.
