Harry, 29, shared a mirror selfie of himself in the gym just before he was due for a workout.
But the megastar opted to wear a T-shirt from One Direction’s Up All Night tour in 2012.
The black garment contained snaps of each of his bandmates, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne.
He was also seen in navy blue gym shorts, white socks as well as bright orange trainers whilst in the private gym space.
Fans were ecstatic as they seemed to think the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker was hinting at a possible reunion.
One fan wrote: “He’s about to workout to One Direction.”
A second said: “THE SHIRT OMG ONE DIRECTION REUNION COMING SOON AHH MY HEART.”
Meanwhile, a third user commented: “The fact that Harry stopped his gym, took his phone, posed with a one direction shirt and posted it…”
A fourth fan noted: “The second one direction mention from him.. gorl we’re getting a comeback!!”
And a fifth user said: “Harry’s picture gave me hope for a one direction comeback.”
However they were soon left disappointed as the Grammy Award-winning artist took his snap down.
So much so, the phrases “he deleted it” and “the shirt” were both trending on Twitter.
It comes as just last month, Harry thanked his bandmates at the Brit Awards as he picked up the British Artist of the Year Award.
“I want to thank my mum for signing me up for X Factor without telling me, so I literally wouldn’t be here without you.
“I want to thank Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn because I wouldn’t be here without you either – thank you so much.”
