Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen play Very Good Girls who make a pact to lose their virginity before they go off to college.
The coming-of-age drama sees Dakota and Elizabeth peeling off their clothes to go skinny dipping in the ocean to broaden their horizons.
Dakota, 20, plays Lily who is determined to experience as much of life as she can during the first summer after high school graduation.

But her close friendship with Gerry, played by the 25-year-old indie favourite Elizabeth, is tested when they fall for the same guy.
The trailer opens with the girls huddling behind a lifeguard tower with Gerry covering her bare chest with her hands and Lily stalling while getting undressed.
‘I can’t do this,’ Lily whines, and Gerry tells her, ‘You can, the question is will you.’ The next moment they’re running to the water in just their birthday suits.

‘We’re going to college and we’re still virgins,’ Lily says in another scene.
‘We’ve got to get over this hump,’ Elizabeth chides them both.
The mini-movie follows Lily as she meets David, ‘the ice cream guy from the beach,’ who’s also handy with the camera, played by hunky Boyd Holbrook.

David captures her interest after she spots a photograph he took of her posted on a wall as she’s walking in the rain.
Romance blooms and the pair are seen zooming away on his motorbike and then enjoying the city view from a lookout point.
But Norma, played by Ellen Barkin, isn’t too keen on the teenager’s late night hours.

‘Would you like to tell me where you were so late?’ Norma questions her.
Lily must also deal with a touchy-feely employer Joe (Peter Sarsgaard), and she tells Gerry: ‘My boss is a perv.’
‘I bet it must feel kinda good to have a guy want your body,’ Gerry suggests over a meal.

‘When we lose our innocence,’ the tagline says, ‘we have to find ourselves,’ before cutting to a scene in which Dakota makes out with Boyd.
Lily’s first passionate love is complicated when Gerry falls for the same guy.
‘All I can think about is David,’ Gerry tells Lily, and then scenes show Gerry giving David the suggestive look over.

Lily and Gerry have an explosive moment where Dakota’s character shoves her best friend away, shouting, ‘you guys are sick!’
‘Sometimes it’s harder to forgive yourself than it is to get someone else to do it, but people will surprise you,’ David counsels Lily.
The movie – which is set for a limited US release on July 25 – also stars Demi Moore and Richard Dreyfuss, and was directed by Naomi Foner, the mother of Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
