Rosé in MV How you like that
Since Blackpink debuted in 2018, this girl group has become a phenomenon. Released very few new songs. Doesn’t appear much on variety shows to promote herself. Not even doing many commercials. But the name Blackpink still naturally attracts the attention of fans. Blackpink’s MVs continuously break record milestones on global music charts. Blackpink girls in turn became the representative faces of major fashion brands.
Four Blackpink girls, each with their own look. If Lisa has a happy and lively image; Jennie has a cold girl boss beauty; Jisoo is loving and gentle; Rosé has a sweet and cute demeanor. So, what do you know about Rosé Blackpink, the new global representative of Saint Laurent?
1. Rosé Blackpink is of New Zealand nationality
Rosé is the stage name of Roseanne Park Chae Young, a girl born on February 11, 1997 in Auckland, New Zealand. Her family moved to New Zealand to settle long ago. When Rosé entered middle school, her entire family moved to Australia once again. She attended a girls’ secondary school in Melbourne, Australia. When YG came to Australia to open the entrance competition, Rosé took the top spot, beating 700 other contestants to become a YG trainee.
“Sometimes I feel like I’m a 100% real Korean girl. But other times, I feel like a lost foreigner. I left my family when I was 15 years old and came to Korea where I didn’t really understand the culture. But I told myself, I must succeed. I will never leave Korea without achieving my dream of becoming a professional singer.”
2. Rosé’s role in Blackpink
Rosé takes on the role of lead dancer. Although fans remember Lisa for her skillful dancing, Rosé is actually better at singing and dancing vigorously.
The reason is because Rosé used to join the cheerleader team at school. Cheerleading requires good physical strength because the movements are strong and similar to sports, have complex choreography and require loud shouting when cheering. That’s why Rosé has the ability to sing very high melodies while dancing complex dances on stage.

3. Image of Rose
Blackpink’s image is created from the combination of Black (strong and irreverent) and Pink (cute and sweet). Lisa and Jennie take on the role of Black. And Jisoo and Rosé represent the Pink part. The girls said that Rosé fits this image very well. She is a cute, secretive and a bit shy person in real life. When interviewed, she speaks slowly, softly, is a bit timid and often smiles shyly.

4. Rose’s voice
Blackpink’s songs often have EDM and dance influences, have intense music, and are accompanied by many extremely fast raps. The plus point is that they create vibrant sounds. The downside is that they don’t allow girls to show off their vocals – for example in Rosé’s case.
Rosé possesses a very unique voice. Her voice is high and elegant, but very strong and resonant as she vibratos. Therefore, when participating in the masked singer program King of Masked Singer , Rosé surprised many people by showing off her extremely strong voice.
Because of this unique voice, Rosé was also invited to contribute to senior G-Dragon’s song Without You before debuting with the group Blackpink. Singer IU also revealed that she wanted to join hands with Rosé to produce a duet song in the future.
5. Rosé’s musical talent
This multi-talented female singer is capable of playing the guitar and piano while singing. This is a technique that requires many hours of practice. Not only stopping here, Rosé said she also has the ambition to practice drumming.

Rosé has revealed many times that she has a strong taste for food. “I really like cooking. At the end of the day after practice, the four of us will have dinner and watch a movie.” She also shared in great detail about her taste, “I like to eat pizza with pineapple. Like Hawaiian pizza. I don’t understand why some people don’t like this. But I’m sorry about avocados. Eggplant too, I don’t like mushy things.” At the same time, her favorite snack is “hot dog sprinkled with sugar!”.
Although she loves eating and drinking, due to her strenuous exercise program, Rosé always maintains a slim body. Her favorite sport is Pilates.
