The rapper released his new EP ‘Scary Hours 3’ Thursday at midnight
Drake gave a special shout out to a pop megastar on his latest project.
The “Rich Baby Daddy” performer, 37, praised Taylor Swift on his new EP, Scary Hours 3, which was released on Thursday at midnight.
Drake name-checks the “Labyrinth” singer, 33, on his new song “Red Button” with the lyrics: “Taylor Swift the only n—- that I ever rated/ Only one could make me drop the album just a little later/ Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it.”
Swift isn’t the only artist Drake references on his latest song. He also mentions Kanye West and their on-again-off-again feud over the years.
“Every time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated/ Thinkin’ we gon’ finally peace it up and get to levitatin’,” the Canadian artist raps. “Realize that everything premeditated/ Everyone was good with me, then everyone expression faded.”
Drake and Swift have had a friendship over the years that has also sparked music collaboration rumors. Back in 2016, Swift attended Drake’s birthday party. That same year, Swift hilariously fell off a treadmill in an ad for Apple Music while rapping Drake and Future’s “Jumpman.” Drake then danced to Swift’s hit “Bad Blood” in a different Apple Music commercial. Last year, the MC shared a sweet throwback photo of him hugging Swift.
