Kim Kardashian is giving North West a lesson in loyalty.
In the most recent episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian, 43, asked daughter North, 10, to have her back after she revealed her mom’s true thoughts on Kendall Jenner’s Met Gala outfit.
After the 2023 Met Gala, Kardashian kicked back to relax with her family and revealed that her daughter told Kendall, 28, that Kardashian hated her outfit. Kendall wore a sparkling black bodysuit and dramatic platform boots at the event.
Kendall explained the situation to her sister Kylie Jenner, 28, saying North told her Kardashian “was lying. She told me she did not like your look.”
According to Kardashian, Kendall was originally choosing between two options for the star-studded fashion event. Kardashian preferred the look that Kendall ultimately chose not to wear. North revealed this to Kendall.
“There’s a thing about honesty and there’s a thing about having your mom’s back,” Kardashian told her daughter.

North, who proved to be quite the truth-teller in the episode, faces the consequence of her gossip, as Kardashian tells her that when she “talks s— about someone, you can’t go tell them.”
Throughout the episode, North spills the harsh truth about people’s Met outfits. At a dress fitting for her mom’s look, North says the outfit’s pearls “look like it’s from the dollar store.”
“North can be critical,” Kardashian explained. “I had John Galliano fitting me for a dress and North was giving notes. This is just her vibe.”

North also let Kardashian know which outfits she approved of — her 2019 “dripping” Mugler dress — and which she didn’t — her 2021 Balenciaga look.
The Balenciaga look “looks like you’re getting covered by a plastic bag and you’re suffocating and can’t see,” North told her mom.
Later, while watching the Met red carpet, North and Penelope Disick, 11, critiqued other Met looks. The cousins said Jared Leto’s Choupette costume was “cringe,” and that they “hate” Pete Davidson’s look.
“You’re going to the Met Gala, Pete. Not the gas station,” North said.
In a confessional, Kardashian said she’s “trying to teach her you don’t need to jump in and annihilate people for no reason. There’s a way to soften it up and not hurt people’s feelings.”
After the Met Gala, Kardashian also revealed that Rihanna once held North as a baby, though North wasn’t an immediate fan.
“She held you once and you were so not into it,” Kardashian told her daughter. “But she said, ‘you’re gonna love me one day, girl.’”
