Speaking to Diario AS, a Spanish sports newspaper, Aguero said the 8-time Ballon D’or winner wants to return to his first European Club, FC Barcelona. The former Manchester City, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid striker said his close friend loves and identifies with the club and the city.
He did add that the two did not speak about his return in detail, but Aguero believes it’s only a matter of time before he returns.
Sometimes I just think it’s a matter of time…Leo always said that he loves Barcelona. He is very identified with the club and city.
Sergio Aguero said as reported by Diario AS
Messi left Barcelona due to the club’s financial issues. Due to a new salary cap introduced by the Spanish FA, Barcelona were unable to register the Argentinian and were forced to release him.
