Sheer delight: Beyonce stunned in a bridal themed white sheer dress after arriving at upmarket Italian restaurant Pasquale Jones with her husband, rapper Jay Z, following a triumphant appearance at the MTV VMAs on Sunday evening

A bold, plunging front exposed the singer’s cleavage, while striking floral embellishments ensured she stood out as she made her way inside.

It was the last in a series of extravagant costume changes for the star, who debuted the sweeping dress while accepting the Video of the Year Award for Formation.

With limited accessories on show, the outfit was given an opportunity to dominate as she  joined a host of stars at the post-ceremony bash.

The power couple were joined by Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West, who looked downcast following his rambling speech at the show.

Reality star Kim, 35, continued to wow in her skin-tight black mini which exhibited her post-baby weight loss while Kanye, 39, wore head to toe white – the same look he sported when taking the stage.

Diddy and girlfriend Cassie also attended the bash after confirming their reunion at the MTV VMAs earlier that night.

Elsewhere Canadian model Winnie Harlow put on a colourful display in a thigh-skimming  printed  dress as she made her way inside.

Earlier that evening Beyonce proved she really is the Queen Bey as she triumphed at the MTV VMAs.

Taking home the top award – for Video Of The Year- the 34-year-old beauty thanked her family in a gushing acceptance speech.

‘I’d like to thank my beautiful daughter and incredible husband for all of their support,’ she said while sporting her ethereal lace white dress.

It certainly wasn’t the only award for Beyonce, who looked fantastic in gold as she accepted the Best Female Video award – from Team USA’s gold medallist gymnasts.

The faces of Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Madison Kocian and Laurie Hernandez all lit up as they hugged the Lemonade hitmaker. Their teammate Gabby Douglas was unable to appear due to a medical issue.

When accepting the shiny new trophy, Beyonce said:  ‘I’d like to thank Jonas Auckland for directing such an amazing video. I’d like to Thank MTV for honouring my video. My fans, I love y’all. You inspire me so much. Have a beautiful night!’

It was a huge night for the talented singer as she won eight total awards.

Beyonce also slayed in the professional categories as her Formation video earned wins in Best Choreography, Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Editing.

Her wins put her over Madonna for the most Moonmen of all-time as she surpassed the Material Girl’s impressive mark of 20.

She came into the night with the most nominations of anyone with a whopping 11.

Beyonce also had arguably the best performance of the night as she did a medley of songs from her hit visual album Lemonade.

The Queen Bey was introduced by champion tennis player Serena Williams before appearing in a large white hat with a matching fur coat.

Not to be outdone, earlier in the night Rihanna hit the stage as she performed the first of four career-retrospective medley performances.

She finished off the first performance with Where Have You Been and seemed overcome with emotion as she was given a standing ovation by her fans and peers.

At the end of the night Rihanna received the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, which is basically a lifetime achievement award for an artist’s effect on MTV culture.

Previous winners of the prize include David Bowie, The Beatles, Guns N’ Roses, The Rolling Stones,  U2, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Kanye West and Michael Jackson, whom the gong is named after.

At the very end of the show, it was none other than her rumoured love-interest Drake who presented the stunner with the golden Moonman.

During the speech, the 29-year-old One Dance hitmaker gushed about her as he said: ‘She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22-years-old.

‘She’s one of my best friends in the world.,’ he added. ‘All my adult life, I’ve looked up to her, even though she’s younger than me.’

Drake was first to hit the winner’s circle as he took home the Best Hip Hop Video Moonman for Hotline Bling.

He was unable to retrieve the prize at the time due to being ‘stuck in traffic’ explained presenter P. Diddy but obviously showed up later.

The second award of the night pitted Calvin Harris against Kanye West in the Best Male Video category.

Ultimately it was the 32-year-old Scottish DJ who came away with the win as he sent in a video message to accept the prize as he had a gig across the pond in the UK.

During his acceptance speech he snubbed Taylor Swift, his ex who co-wrote the song but did thank another collaborator as he said: ‘I need to thank Rihanna from the bottom of my heart. You’re a superstar.’

Before the winner was announced, Kim Kardashian could be seen crossing her fingers for good luck in hopes her man would win but it didn’t seem to work as he was ultimately bested.

Kanye did not take home any awards during the event but he did come out to introduce his new music video for Fade.

The 39-year-old rapper went on a long stream-of-consciousness monologue during his mic time as he touched on several topics from Taylor Swift to Gun Violence.

The star-studded event was held at the one of the most famous arenas in the world, Madison Square Garden, in Midtown Manhattan.

David Bowie received a posthumous award as his video for Blackstar took home the Best Art Direction prize. The Ziggy Stardust hitmaker passed away earlier this year on January 10.
