She’s set to reprise her role as the anti-heroine in the long-awaited sequel Mistress Of Evil.
And Angelina Jolie was larking about with her Maleficent co-stars Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer as they posed for portraits ahead of the film’s promotional tour.
The actress, 44, was given a pair of ‘bunny ears’ in one playful snap with Michelle, 62, which sent Elle, 21, into a fit of giggles, as the three stars posed for the snaps ahead of the film’s release next month.
In the snaps, Angelina clearly showed her close bond with both Elle and Michelle as they posed in the snaps.
The legendary actress cut a stylish figure in a fitted black dress with a waterfall sleeve, while Michelle opted for a chic black turtleneck jumper and floral skirt.
The two stars were joined by Elle – who plays Princess Aurora in the film – who wore a quirky black dress with floral puffed sleeves and an oversized lace collar.
In one snap, Michelle appeared to pop two fingers behind Angelina’s head to mimic a pair of bunny ears, and while the star remained oblivious, Elle struggled to hide her laughter.
In another candid image all three actresses were beaming from ear to ear, as they showed their close bond since working on the film.
The trio of stars were joined by the film’s cast members Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein, Sam Riley and Harris Dickinson as they kicked off their promotional tour for the Disney picture.
Disney beginners may not recall that Maleficent is the evil fairy in the classic 1959 animation Sleeping Beauty, and that Angelina Jolie played her in a 2014 live-action film Maleficent.
Just five years on, Jolie is playing her again in Mistress Of Evil, still wearing kinky black horns, fighting fairies and sorting out her conflicted maternal feelings towards sweet Princess Aurora (Fanning).
This time she has competition from the neighbouring Queen Ingrith (Pfeiffer) who causes a rift between our anti-heroine and Aurora, when her son Prince Phillip returns to the kingdom and proposes to the Princess.
Unbeknown to Aurora, Ingrith is plotting to use their marriage to divide humans and fairies forever, and it is up to Maleficent to try and stop the impending war.
Chiwetel joins the cast as the leader of an army of fairies just like Maleficent, while Harris will replaceΒ Brenton Thwaites as Prince Phillip.
The original 2014 film grossed a whopping $758million worldwide, and brought another success addition to Disney’s series of dark fairy tales.
Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil will be released on October 19.
