Black Woman With 33 Grandchildren Graduates College at 63 Years Old

Nationwide — Meet Robyn Roberts, a phenomenal 63-year-old grandmother of 33 and great-grandmother of 12. She recently graduated college from Southern New Hampshire University, proving that learning is a lifelong adventure.

“I have finished something I started that is absolutely amazing, and I feel amazing,” Roberts said in an interview with the university according to Good Morning America.

Her journey to higher education began with a challenge from her grandson back in high school who told her, “I’ll do it if you do it.” And so, a friendly competition emerged, including a GPA contest between them that Roberts proudly won.

With a degree in business administration, this soon-to-be 64-year-old grandma has her sights set on law school. She plans to provide support to survivors of abuse.

“64 is the year of new beginnings,” she said. “If all goes well, by the time I turn 67, I’ll be a lawyer.”

Alongside her academic pursuits, Roberts and her husband run a trucking business that deals with hazardous materials and government equipment. She expressed her gratitude to SNHU for accommodating her studies despite her busy schedule managing a business.

“I did 90% of my studies from inside my semi-truck,” said Roberts, who worked on assignments in rest areas during their travels.

What’s more, the multitasking doesn’t end with graduation. On her way to the ceremony, Roberts made a pit stop in Dover, Delaware, and has plans to visit New York and Arkansas before returning to her hometown of Las Vegas to host a Thanksgiving dinner for 38 people.

Keir Starmer says police should focus on ‘what matters most’ – amid growing anger over police investigation into Allison Pearson’s tweet

Police forces should focus on tackling crime, not policing people’s tweets, Sir Keir Starmer said yesterday. In an apparent climb down, the Prime Minister urged the police to ‘concentrate on what matters most to their communities’, rather than being drawn into investing resources in tackling so-called ‘non-crime hate incidents’. Downing Street backed the police over the controversial practice last week, saying it was ‘important that the police can capture data relating to non-crime hate incidents where it is proportionate and necessary to do so to help prevent serious crimes which may later occur’.
