Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp heaped praise on Jarell Quansah following his team’s Europa League victory over LASK last night.
The Reds defeated the Austrians with goals from Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and Cody Gakpo. But it was young Quansah who wowed us the most.
Liverpool was always the favorite to win their Europa League group, but after losing to Toulouse on Tuesday, they had to wait until Wednesday to secure the top spot.

Last night, Jurgen Klopp chose a fairly good lineup against LASK, and the major stars in attack – Gakpo, Diaz, and Salah – all delivered to give the Reds a comfortable win.

Even though the goal scorers deserve a lot of credit for their efforts, it was 20-year-old Jarell Quansah who truly got our attention.
The youngster’s performances continue to astound everyone. Nobody, not even Klopp, anticipated him to be as excellent as he has been, but he appears to be a huge talent. After the game, the German heaped accolades on him.
According to Liverpool’s official website, he stated, “Jarell played a fantastic game.” To be honest, that couldn’t be greater news for the club.
“I think a lot of people told us before this season that we should get a centre-half.” We already knew we had Jarell. Did we know he’d show up like this? No, not exactly, but we were optimistic, so the future seems promising. It’s fine.
“Our own boy, calm on the ball, good in the challenge, quick, ruthless in the right moments, and besides Caoimhin, who had one or two saves, [he] probably had the most spectacular defensive situations, saving our backside in some moments.” So that’s fantastic. It’s breaking news for us.”
Jarell Quansah, a Liverpool kid, was outstanding against LASK last night.
The 20-year-old had 74 touches and completed 60 of his 66 attempted passes, resulting in an impressive 91% passing accuracy (SofaScore).
Quansah also had three interceptions and was not dribbled past once throughout the game, which is exceptional for someone his age.
