Real Madrid will want to keep their lead when they host Granada at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday after taking back the top spot in La Liga last weekend.
Real Madrid has now won four straight games in all tournaments, beating SC Braga, Valencia, Cadiz, and most recently Napoli.
Even though there have been a lot of injuries, Carlo Ancelotti and his team have found a way to keep winning. They will be looking forward to another win at home tomorrow.
Granada, on the other hand, is at the other end of the table. However, they may be experiencing the “new manager bounce” because they just hired Alexander Medina to replace Paco Lopez as their head coach.
Real Madrid will not have Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Arda Guler, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Luka Modric, or Vinicius Jr. in the game because they are all hurt.
This is how Ancelotti could set up his team to play Granada tomorrow at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Starting Points
Real Madrid has added Kepa Arrizabalaga to their team to play Granada now that he is healthy again after missing the last four games. But Andriy Lunin will again be picked to play goal tomorrow, as boss Ancelotti said during his press conference.
Ancelotti has to decide which players to put on his team because tomorrow’s game could be a good chance for him to change things up. But since there is no game this week, the Italian manager might be tempted to stick with his best team.
In this case, Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba could stay together at center back for Real Madrid. Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy, on the other hand, should play fullback on the right and left sides, respectively.
Because Camavinga and Tchouameni were hurt, Toni Kroos has played in the middle of the field as a center, with help from Federico Valverde. In the meantime, Dani Ceballos will get another chance to start since Modric is out with an illness.
Even though Jude Bellingham almost hurt himself during practice earlier today, he is healthy and ready to play. The Englishman, who is 20 years old, will start as usual as the attacking midfielder and offer a threat to the other team’s back line.
Ancelotti chose to put Brahim Diaz and Rodrygo Goes together in the attack against Napoli earlier this week. The boss probably won’t change the pairing because of how well they played together.
Lunin, Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba, Mendy, Kroos, Valverde, Ceballos, Bellingham, Brahim, and Rodrygo are the players that Real Madrid thinks will start.
Different kinds of
During the game, Carlo Ancelotti will use Joselu to help the attack. Meanwhile, Nico Paz, who scored his first goal for Real Madrid against Napoli, is expected to get more playing time.
During the last few minutes of the game, captain Nacho Fernandez is expected to come on to help one of the two center-backs. Ferland Mendy could be switched out for Fran Garcia.
Another young player from the school who could play some minutes on Saturday is young forward Gonzalo Garcia.
