Travis Kelce is now getting major dating advice from another former athlete who was in the spotlight outside of his own game.
Former NBAer Lamar Odom, who had a high-profile marriage with Khloe Kardashian, was asked about how the Chiefs star tight end should handle his budding relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift.
Odom, who was married to Kardashian from 2009-16 and appeared on “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and a spinoff “Khloe & Lamar,” gave pretty direct well-meaning advice to Kelce during an interview with The Messenger.
“My advice would be to be strong and stay by her and be as close to her as possible,” Odom told the outlet. “There are going to be millions of women that want to taste what Taylor Swift is tasting and it can be overwhelming because we’re men. He just has to be strong and stick by his girl and he’ll be alright.”
While Kelce and Swift haven’t reached the heights of having a reality show based on their new romance, the two have been in the spotlight in what has been quite the crossover between the football and entertainment world.

Since their relationship came into the spotlight this fall, just about every single one of their moves have been tracked and closely followed.
Swift has attended a number of Kelce’s games — both in Kansas City and elsewhere — and has been seen in suites making friends with Kelce’s parents, Donna and Ed, and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of star Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Earlier this week, Kelce and Swift even paid a visit to the Mahomes’ $8 million mansion in Kansas City, the Daily Mail reported.

Swift has made her presence known at Chiefs games, and Kelce has indeed reciprocated.
The Chiefs star even traveled to Argentina to see an Eras Tour show in Buenos Aires in November.
While there, Kelce was seen dancing along to Swift’s music with her dad, Scott, as she changed the lyrics to her song “Karma” to: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
The two even shared a public kiss after her performance.

“Yeah, no, had no clue. Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, still shocked me. I was like, ‘Oh, shh,’ she really just said that, “ Kelce said of the lyric change on his “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with older brother Jason Kelce, a center on the Eagles.
The Chiefs next play the Packers on “Sunday Night Football,” while Swift is not scheduled to perform in concert until February in Tokyo, Japan.
