Justin Bieber may be trying to channel the spirit of Rocky Balboa in a new music video shoot.

The 26-year-old singer was spotted on the beach in Malibu, preparing for the shoot, which included practicing his boxing moves, even covering his sleeves of arm tattoos for the shoot.

Given the beach setting and the boxing vibe, Bieber may be paying homage to the famous beach training scenes between Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and Apollo Creed (Carl Wathers) in the 1982 classic Rocky III, while rocking a similar sweatsuit to Balboa in 1979’s Rocky II.
