The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Million-Dollar Bribe to Make Claire Disappear – Pressures Granddaughter?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may need a new strategy to get rid of Claire Grace (Hayley Erin). Although Claire is locked up at the moment, she’ll inevitably find a way to beat the charges.

Claire may cooperate with the cops’ effort to find Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and cut a deal to avoid major prison time.

Y&R spoilers say Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) are going to support Claire, so they should rope Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) into helping Claire get off the hook.

Despite the DNA test results that’ll inevitably prove Claire’s a Newman, her blood tie may not matter much to Victor – not after what she did to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and the rest of his family at the lake house.

As far as Victor’s concerned, Claire may be someone who’s always going to trigger bad memories and vibes for Nikki, so he may want her gone. Victoria will feel differently, but Victor may think this is a situation where Father knows best!

The fact that Claire is Victor’s granddaughter may spare her life, but Victor may still take steps to get her out of the picture permanently.

Victor has been known to bribe problematic people and pressure them to leave town, so he may rely on that tactic again with Claire.

When Victor wanted Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) out of Noah Newman’s (last played by Rory Gibson) life once upon a time, he was willing to pay a hefty amount of money to make that happen.

Tessa didn’t accept the offer – just like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) refused to trade her baby for a successful business outside of Genoa City.

Although the situation with Sally turned out to be more of a loyalty test, that could be the case with Claire, too. Maybe this will be Claire’s first experience with Victor’s mind games.

Victor might offer Claire $1 million or even more to disappear and see if she’ll value money over the idea of building a family. If Claire takes the cash and runs, that may be the only answer Victor needs.

If Claire refuses and genuinely wants to bond with Victoria, that could be the start of Victor softening toward her a bit.

Then again, Victor might worry that Claire just wants to hang around and squeeze even more out of his family in the long run.

Claire is walking into an extremely tricky dilemma with the Newman clan, so stay tuned for updates on Victor’s potential bribe and how she might react to that news.

Britain is likely to line up alongside the EU against the US if Donald Trump triggers a new trade war, a senior minister has signalled. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds told peers that the UK would need to ‘weigh the consequences’ of any demands the incoming US president makes on trade if they risk damaging relations with the EU. Britain has a larger trading relationship with the bloc than America and would be cautious of provisos that may have an ‘adverse’ effect on ties with Brussels, he told peers last night.
