Iconic Strike: Alexis Mac Allister’s ‘Incredible’ Goal Spurs Comparisons to Steven Gerrard’s Magic at Liverpool

The star of Liverpool, Alexis Mac Allister, showed off his inner Steven Gerrard as the team defeated Fulham 4-3 to open the score.

In the summer, the 2022 World Cup winner moved from Brighton to the Reds in a transaction that might end up costing up to £55 million.

At the Amex Stadium, Jurgen Klopp has frequently utilized the Argentine as a flexible defensive midfielder when he is positioned in the No. 10 position.

And now, after 17 games across all competitions for the Merseyside team, the 24-year-old has finally scored his first goal.

Mac Allister scored a wonder goal against Fulham at Anfield

Mac Allister fired a half-volley from about 30 yards out that went into the upper right corner, maybe winning goal of the season.

Mac Allsiter gave the home team a 2-1 lead at Anfield, and former Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno was powerless to stop him in the Cottagers net.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s magnificent free kick bounced off the bar and into the goal for Liverpool, breaking the tie once more.

Even so, replays revealed that Leno was given credit for a goal even though the ball had struck the bar and his head.

However, it was Mac Allister’s attempt that caused a social media frenzy, as supporters likened his goal to club star Gerrard, who is renowned for his long-range bombs.

Fans have likened Mac Allister’s goal to Gerrard, who was known for his strikes from distance

One fan said on X, “Alexis Mac Allister scores the most goals I have seen since Steven Gerrard.”

“Alexis Mac Aliister, is that you? Another person messaged me. I briefly saw Steven Gerrard back at Anfield.”

A third observation was made: “The way Alexis Mac Allister scored that goal brings to mind Steven Gerrard’s signature style of finding the net.”

“Do you think Mac Allister shouted Gerrard when he hit that?” joked one of the fans.

That was followed by someone else saying, “Steven Gerrard will be proud [of] such a strike.”

As for the other, it was just, “Mac Allister with the Gerrard special.”

Liverpool had to come from behind twice, but they managed to prevail in a thrilling seven-goal thriller at Anfield.

Following Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s goal in the 78th minute, Fulham appeared to be going for all three points.

But in the 85th minute, Wataru Endo, a replacement, tied the score with a curler into the upper right corner. Shortly after, Alexander-Arnold scored the game’s winner, setting off frenzied celebrations.

Liverpool now trails Premier League leaders Arsenal in the standings by two points.
