Elizabeth Olsen has confirmed what her future for Scarlet Witch holds in the MCU.
**Spoiler alerts ahead**
While Scarlet Witch seemingly died at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, many have wondered about the character.
During an interview on TODAY, where the actor was promoting her new HBO series Love and Death, Olsen couldn’t escape questions about the superhero.
“I have to ask. Scarlet Witch. Are we going to see more?,” said TODAY co-host Al Roker – doing God’s work.
Unsurprisingly, Olsen was hesitant to discuss the topic.
“It’s a hard question for me to answer because I feel like my words are always twisted every time I answer it, but like…” she began.
But Roker assured her this was a ‘no twist zone’.
“So my no twist zone is ‘Yes I hope so’. I have no idea. When I say that, it’s not because I have a loaded answer. It’s because I say, ‘Yes I hope so,’ and I mean it at face value,” she continued.
The 34-year-old added that she hasn’t been filming any MCU projects and currently has no contract with the studio.
Ah, folks, it’s looking grim over here.
But rest assured, there are still ample opportunities for Scarlet Witch to remerge in the MCU.
One of them is the upcoming series Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which follows Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness, who was the main antagonist in WandaVision.
Credit: Disney+/MarvelThe last time we saw Agatha, she was left trapped by Scarlet Witch in Westview and still thinking she was her nosy neighbor Agatha.
We can only imagine that once Agatha finally breaks the spell, she may seek revenge on the Avenger that cursed her in the first place.
**Cough, cough enter from stage right Elizabeth Olsen**
However, the character could also return in the upcoming Disney+ Vision Quest series, which will follow Paul Bettany’s return as the White Vision.
Vision will be looking ‘to regain his memory and humanity’ in the series, which will be led by WandaVision‘s Jac Schaeffer, as per Screen Rant.
And, given that Scarlet Witch had used her limitless ability to recreate him in her sitcom-like world in WestView, maybe this connection alone is enough to reintroduce her into the universe.
Only time will tell.
