Chaos Erupts in Salem! Marlena’s Health in Jeopardy and Blackout Shakes the Town

Days of our Lives spoilers for the week of September 22-26, 2025 tease a health scare and a city-wide crisis.

While it’s unknown what causes it, spoilers tease a blackout will strike Salem by the end of the week. Salem is due for a city-wide tragedy, like the underground explosion of 2012 that “killed” Jack (Matthew Ashford) or, most memorably, the time the Salem Stalker murdered the entire cast just for them to appear alive and well on an island.

Whatever this blackout has in store, it’s going to leave Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) to help Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Felicity (Kennedy Garcia) at the bakery, while Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), Brady (Eric Martsolf), and Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) will find themselves trapped.

Marlena’s Health

Meanwhile, worries about Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) health will resurface after she passes out on Thursday. This wouldn’t be the first time she’s passed out, and these fainting spells are presumably linked to her dreams about Stefano (the late Joe Mascolo). At the start of the week, she’ll receive troubling news that could also be related to her health

Odds and Ends

On the adoption front, Chanel and Johnny (Carson Boatman) will remain optimistic about their chances of adopting Baby Tesoro. It’s hard to tell which couple an adoption agency would side with — Johnny and Chanel or Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Javi (Al Calderon) — but when Sophia (Rachel Boyd) is said to plot against Johnny and Chanel on Thursday, it seems her vote isn’t for them to adopt her baby boy.

As for the Kiriakis clan, Alex, Brady, Philip, and Xander (Paul Telfer) will all butt heads mid-week over how to save their family company. Tony (Thaao Penghlis) is after everything they’ve got, and with Brady considering stepping away from the company, they may be down a Kiriakis in this fight.
