Ava Loses Her Leverage As She Tells All To Nina

General Hospital (GH) spoilers report Ava Jerome (Maura West) has had the upper hand in her friendship with Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) for the last year or better.

Having Nina’s back from the start was a touchy place to be — especially as it concerns Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Ava has been careful to maintain her friendship with Nina, but also not go to bat for her to Carly or Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

So far, Ava has become privy to all of Nina’s secret wrongdoings while the inverse can hardly be said. But as the truth starts to come out about Sonny’s knowledge of Ava’s secrets, she may feel obliged to clue Nina in .

General Hospital Spoilers — The Way Things Used to Be

Some fans have noticed on more than one occasion that Nina spills her guts to Ava pretty regularly — and then Ava sits there lapping it up, dishing out advice, and well, that’s it. She doesn’t spill the chaos going on in her own life.

She doesn’t let Nina in so they can truly bond and be vulnerable with each other. What kind of one-way street is this friendship anyway? It seems that Ava may not have really trusted Nina as much as she pretended to, but that’s about to change.

GH Spoilers Spill – Nina Reeves And Sonny Corinthos Share Pillow Talk

Sonny would never betray Ava’s trust — not even to Nina, her friend, and his wife. He operates by a certain moral code that somehow leaves him with the ability to have secretive relationships with all of his exes and baby mamas.

Ava being Nina’s friend doesn’t make her an exception. For whatever reason, Ava trusted Sonny to help her but never trusted Nina enough to even confide in her — and it won’t be her blossoming trust that leads her to this time.

Instead, Sonny is going to say just enough to his new wife which leads Nina to realize she’s been left in the dark. Do you think she’ll ask Sonny to clue her in? Nah!

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Is On The Spot

Nina won’t have any trouble putting Ava on the spot and asking her what is going on between her friend and her husband. Why the secret meetings? What are the elusive problems Sonny is helping her fix, and how could they have harmed Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola)?

Moreover, why didn’t Ava share these problems with Nina long ago? Ava won’t have a comfortable way to address that elephant in the room other than telling Nina what she did to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and how the Gatlins and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) came to be involved.

Until now, Ava has held the power to tank Nina’s marriage and reputation. Of course, she hasn’t because she cares about her, but if push came to shove, we know Ava would throw Nina under the bus to stay in Sonny and Carly’s good graces.

Now that she’s going to lose that leverage, will Nina be able to manipulate her like she does everyone else?

Keir Starmer says police should focus on ‘what matters most’ – amid growing anger over police investigation into Allison Pearson’s tweet

Police forces should focus on tackling crime, not policing people’s tweets, Sir Keir Starmer said yesterday. In an apparent climb down, the Prime Minister urged the police to ‘concentrate on what matters most to their communities’, rather than being drawn into investing resources in tackling so-called ‘non-crime hate incidents’. Downing Street backed the police over the controversial practice last week, saying it was ‘important that the police can capture data relating to non-crime hate incidents where it is proportionate and necessary to do so to help prevent serious crimes which may later occur’.
